Cebu is blessed to have accessible hills and mountains that offer an awesome view of the city and municipalities. Because of their postcard-perfect view, many property developers decided to open mountain resorts in the province and among these is Ibabaw Mountain Resort in Santa Cruz, Liloan. BOOK HERE!

Here, friends and families can retreat to one of the rooms for an overnight view of the town and nearby Lapu-Lapu City or spend the day dipping in its big pool. Even more impressive is the friendly service offered by its staff.

Amenities

The resort has a big pool that adults and children can use. There is a short briefing as to the pool’s length and children are advised to use floatation devices to be safe. Adults are also encouraged to always keep a close watch on their children companions.

Those who just walk in and have not prepared food for everyone to share can count on a restaurant and bar within the resort. It offers favorite dishes that the whole family or group can enjoy. They can also cater to groups as long as they are arranged days before. Guests can look at their menu in advance and choose the food they want to be served with.

Accommodations

Guests can come either as day users or overnight users. Those who wish to use resort facilities during the day will pay P100 per adult and P50 for kids from 5 to 12 years old. The entrance fees are waived for overnight users who will be staying in one of the houses.

Cottages, tents, and picnic tables are also available for day users. Cottages are at P500, tents are at P400, and picnic tables are at P150.

Those who wish to stay overnight can choose between two houses – family house and bahay kubo.

The family house can accommodate from 4 to 15 occupants. This house has its own kitchen with refrigerator, receiving room, and a separate sleeping room. It looks like one of the many homes in the rural areas with amakan (weaved bamboo splits) walls. This house is available for a minimal fee of P2, 500 per night.

The bahay kubo, on the other hand, looks like a traditional Filipino house but with more modern amenities inside. It has a high ceiling and cozy bed with distinct mosquito screen. The terrace overlooks the lush green outside.

It has a patio where bamboo chairs and tables are set up for some late afternoon coffee or tea and awesome conversations. Inside, it has a mini refrigerator and a flat screen TV.

This house can be booked for P1, 800 per night. Excess guests will be charged P100 per head.

Other Information

Getting to the resort will be difficult for those who do not have their own cars. Guests can choose to book the resort’s van transport, which can accommodate up to 18 guests per trip. Those who want to be dropped off in the towns of Compostela, Liloan, and Consolacion will be charged P1, 200 one way or P1, 800 if with return trip. Those who want to be dropped off in Cebu City, Mandaue City, or Lapu-Lapu City are charged P1, 500 one way or P2, 300 if with return trip.

Those who are more adventurous can choose to ride a habal-habal from the Yati Public Market. The resort is only 15 minutes from the town proper.
