Boasting of one of the best sandbars in the country, Tulang Diot Island in Camotes Island is a must-visit this summer. It even has an Insta-worthy lighthouse and islet beach that only becomes visible during low tide. The water is so clear that you can see everything with your bare eyes. Being far from civilization, since it still takes a 5-minute boat ride from the island of Tulang Dako, it does not have any hotel, restaurant, or club. However, the island does have impressive dive sites, snorkeling spots, and other adventures. You can always arrange for a homestay with some of the locals. Since the little island’s generator only works up to 10 p.m. every night, expect for a quiet, dark island lit only by the moonlight during your visit. If you are looking for a place to unplug, Tulang Diot Island should be on your list of places to consider.

To get there, ride a motorcycle from Port Gikan-an in Esperanza, Poro and another motorcycle ride to Tulang Daku. Look for a boat that can take visitors like you to Tulang Diot. There are actually many boats plying the Tulang Daku-Tulang Diot route so you don’t have to worry about arranging for a roundtrip ride.
