Carnaza Island

Carnaza Island is located at the northern tip of Cebu in Daanbantayan. It is a still a boat ride away from the main island, but it is totally worth it once you get there. It boasts of amazing rock formations, crystal clear water, and white sand beaches. The island also has a lot of caves that you can explore if you are into spelunking or history since these caves served as the meeting place and shelter for Japanese soldiers during World War II. The Carnaza Eco-Park, for P200 entrance fee, offers the accommodation that you need on the island that will cost you P200 per night goof for two people. You can fill your Carnaza Island itinerary with swimming, island hopping, diving, snorkeling, sandbar exploration, beach trekking, and other water activities.

To get to the turtle-shaped island, go to the North Bus Terminal in Mandaue City and take the bus headed to Tapilon Port in Daanbantayan Island. It’s a four-hour ride from there so be prepared. The port is the jump-off point to Carnaza Island. You’d reach it after a two-hour boat ride.
