If you want to relax somewhere secluded, Bakhaw Beach in Camotes Island should be perfect for you. It is not yet spoiled by aggressive tourism, thanks to its distance from civilization.  You still have to get through dirt roads and lots of coconut trees in a plantation to get to the beach. However it does have a few houses, structures, and even a resort close to it for when you need to stay overnight at the beach. Bakhaw Beach has traditional open nipa hut cottages, floaters, small boats for rent, a small sari-sari store where you can get food, drinks and other basic necessities, and even a karaoke for rent.

You can literally lie on the white sand, watch the blue sky and the coconut trees swaying along with the breeze without worrying about bothering other beachgoers because the beach is not crowded at all. If you want to feel like you own a beach for a day, go to Bakhaw Beach. It is close to Santiago Bay so if you’re ever in the area, do a side trip to Bakhaw Beach. It is around 40 minutes away by motorbike from Conseulo Port in Esperanza, Camotes Island. It is also close to Timubo Cave.
