Craving for lechon kawali, lechon belly, pizza, and more? You don’t have to go restaurant hopping if you drop by Mactan Shrine, home of the Kadaugan sa Mactan Food Festival 2017.
In its Facebook post, the Lapu-Lapu City government announced the opening of the food fest on April 17. It is open from 5pm to 11pm daily until April 30.
However, the Facebook page “Kadaugan sa Mactan ‘Food Festival 2017’” cited a different time and closing date, saying the fest is open only from 5:30pm to 10:30pm until April 26.
Participating hotels and resorts include Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Alta Resorts, Crimson Resort & Spa, Be Resort, Plantation Bay, Bluewater Resorts, Waterfront Mactan, Eloisa Royal Suites, Goldberry Suites & Hotel, Movenpick Hotel, Pacific Cebu Resort, Crown Regency Hotel and Towers, and Solea Mactan Cebu Resort. Each hotel/resort’s booth sells mouthwatering dishes at affordable prices.
There are also Nonki’s sushi, Hola España’s variety of pizza, lechon by Gatchalian’s, tuna dishes by Eloisa Royal Suites, and more. Lechon native chicken are on full display at the fair, too.
The Lapu-Lapu City Government’s Facebook page also posted various booths selling food-to-go. You can buy shakes from Black Pearl and Zagu, buko drinks from Buko Loco, and ice cream from Ice Cream de Mactan. Other participating booths include Dunkin Donuts, Thirsty, and more.
Local performers and bands also entertain the diners.
