Maple restaurant Cebu is the newest concept of the Pancake House Group’s lineup of dining chain. It is an all-day fine dining bistro serving latest cuisine to the public featuring western-style comfort food with an American trained chef, international methods and top quality ingredients. The name Maple comes from maple syrup, and aside from the fact that lots of their foods have maple syrup.
Lately, The Pancake House is considering extension of branches in Cebu and Mactan as Maple in Ayala Terraces has been doing perfectly well. Chief Operating Officer Bernadette Lee said they want to pursue the Cebu market, noting that most Cebuanos these days dine out. Lee also disclosed that people flock into what’s new in the market or a new concept, people try and adopt it, and also said they are closely watchful and diligent of their services to keep the interests soaring.
With close to 500 restaurants under the company, Lee said they are now the biggest casual dining group in the country. The Pancake House Group is studying also other concepts for Cebuanos but what they are fixating on is the Maple bistro to expand. However, “We would like to keep Maple as exclusive as possible, so we are not expanding as briskly. We want to start small,” Lee said.
Among Maple Cebu’s bestsellers are the prime rib tapa, their special take on the Filipino steak tapa; the Spaetzle Jambalaya which is a pasta but looks like rice; eggs Benedict, the Maple house salad, Maple burger and their pancakes, all of which feature maple syrup. A tasty update for all Cebuanos. You will hear more about this concept as early as the inception of branch openings in town.
