GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corp. (GMCAC), the private operator of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, joined Philippine Airlines as it launched its newest Cebu – Los Angeles flights during PAL’s Visayas Roadshow in Radisson Blu Cebu last February 17.

The non-stop flights between Cebu and Los Angeles will start on March 15, which is also PAL’s 75th founding anniversary. This first long-haul direct flight to Los Angeles, California from Cebu will utilize a 254-seat Airbus A340-300, which is equipped with both business and economy class seats.

It will fly three times a week – departing Cebu every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 6:25 PM, and leaving Los Angeles back to Cebu on the same days at 8:40 PM. The Cebu – Los Angeles flights will take about 16 hours of travel.

This new service expanding to the US mainland is a response to the market demand, and will bring in more travelers both tourists and business to Cebu.
